Got told to use a tiny capacitor in my fuzz build and it changed everything

A guy named Mike on a forum told me to swap out the standard 100nF cap for a 47nF in my fuzz face clone. I figured he was crazy but tried it on my second build last month. Ended up with way more midrange punch and less of that muddy low end I was fighting. Has anyone else had a single part swap like that totally change their build?

47nF was the magic number in my Rangemaster clone. Tightened everything right up.

Man, I've been there... 47nF really does the trick for tightening up the low end without losing that signature bite.
