Guy at the Columbus pedal swap told me my wiring was a mess and he was right
I built a Big Muff clone about 4 months ago and I was pretty proud of it even though it hummed like crazy. At a pedal swap in Columbus this guy picked it up, flipped it over, and just said "your grounds are all over the place, man." I got defensive at first but then I opened it up at home and yeah, my ground wires were just spaghetti running to 3 different spots on the board. I redid the whole thing with one star ground point and the hum dropped from a loud buzz to almost nothing. Now I want to ask, do you guys twist your power and ground wires together or keep them separate?
