Had a week where every pedal I built just worked on the first try, and it messed with my head
Last Tuesday I finished a fuzz face clone from a tagboard layout I found on a forum, plugged it in, and it sounded perfect. No debugging, no swapping transistors, no checking for cold solder joints. Then Thursday I built a simple tremolo from a stripboard layout I got off a guy in the UK, and same thing, worked right away. By Saturday I had a delay pedal going too, which is crazy because those always give me trouble with the clock noise. I kept waiting for something to pop or smoke, but nothing happened. It honestly made me feel like I forgot how to build or something, like I was cheating somehow. Has anyone else had a weirdly smooth build streak and felt suspicious about it?

I built a fuzz that sounded like a dying cat for three weeks and then started working after I left it in the rain.

Gotta admit @kevin_wells46, sounds more like your soldering was just drying out, not the pedal learning to work.
