My fuzz pedal got way brighter after I changed one cap value

I swapped the input cap on my Big Muff clone from 0.1uF to 0.047uF last weekend and the top end opened up SO much, it went from muddy to cutting through the mix in a jam. Has anyone else found that a single cap swap can totally change a pedal's character, or am I just chasing my own ears here?
