Showerthought: I called cheap vero board a waste of money till I built a working fuzz on a $2 strip
I put off vero builds for a year because the guy at the shop on Grand Ave told me stripboard was for beginners and I would just waste solder. Then two weeks ago I built a Fuzz Face clone on 8 rows for $2, it fired up on the first try, and it sounds better than the $90 kit I put together in February. Now I am wondering what else I skipped because one person said it was junk. What is the one cheap part you stopped buying because someone talked you out of it, and did you ever go back?
