Spent a weekend comparing a $30 breadboard to a $120 stripboard for a phaser pedal build

Went with the stripboard because I got tired of jumper wires popping out mid-test. Still took me three tries to route the ground correctly, but the final build has held up for six months now. Anyone else swear by one over the other for veros?

@jennifersmith nailed it with that dedicated ground rail trick. Same thing saved my second phaser build after the first one turned into a noise factory.

Man stripboard all the way for pedals. I had the exact same problem with those loose wires on breadboards, they'd pop out when I was testing a fuzz circuit and I'd lose half the settings. My first vero build was a Phase 90 clone and it took me maybe 4 tries to get the ground right too. What finally worked for me was running a thick bare wire along the bottom row as a dedicated ground rail, then connecting everything to that. That build has been on my board for almost two years now without a single issue.
