Talked to a local amp tech and he changed how I see grounding
I was at a shop in Portland last weekend dropping off a busted transformer and this older tech named Dave noticed my pedalboard. He pointed at my daisy chain and said 'you're just asking for noise with that setup, try a star ground instead.' It hit different because he showed me how every ground point should go back to one place, not a messy chain. Now I'm redoing my whole board this week. Has anyone else had a simple tip from a pro totally change your build?

Dropped my whole board on the floor trying to rewire it star style last night and now I'm pretty sure I shorted something out. Maybe I should stick to numbers and let the pros handle the electricity.

Dude, I feel your pain. I once tried to fix a loose wire on my pedalboard and ended up shocking myself so bad I flung the whole thing across the room. Now I just assume any electrical work is gonna end in disaster and leave it to people who don't have butterfingers like me. Honestly, dropping it and shorting something out sounds like a step up from what I did. You'll probably just have to replace a fuse or something, not a total loss. At least you tried, right?
