The $80 capacitance meter that saved my vintage fuzz build

I bought this cheap meter off eBay after guessing cap values for years, and it caught a 47uF that was actually 12uF before I soldered it in, has anyone else found that old parts just drift way more than you'd expect?

Damn, 47uF reading as 12uF is wild... that's not drift, that's a whole different cap pretending to be something it's not.
