Veroboards vs perfboards for a first fuzz build?

I've been putting together a Fuzz Face clone and couldn't decide between vero and perf, so I went with perboard after my buddy said it's easier to fix mistakes. Turned out the layout I found online had a trace error I had to hunt down with a multimeter for the last 3 days. Anyone else stick with one method after a rough first build, or do you switch based on the circuit?

Ha, hunting down a trace error for 3 days sounds like the true fuzz face experience, you earned that tone. I'm a vero lifer now, but only because I'm too stubborn to admit my first vero build sounded like a dying robot and I blamed the circuit.
