I finally stopped using my phone as a flashlight for small repairs.

Switched to a proper headlamp six months ago after dropping a tiny screw in my car's footwell. Anyone else have a cheap gadget that solved a daily annoyance?

Bought a magnetic parts tray that saved me from losing so many small bolts.

That magnetic tray is basically a tiny metal jail for parts that want to escape. I used to lose at least three 10mm sockets per oil change before I got one. Now they just sit there looking guilty until I need them. It's the closest thing to a responsible system I've ever had in my garage. Honestly, it feels like cheating.

You guys ever talk me into something I swore I wouldn't need? I was totally against headlamps until I dropped a screw under my workbench and spent 20 minutes on my knees. Now I use one for everything and @alicea26 is right, it feels like cheating but I love it.
