PSA: Following a camera review's advice on manual settings fixed my blurry photos.
I used to stick with auto mode, but trying the manual tips from one review gave me sharp shots every time. Some folks say auto is good enough, while others swear by learning the settings. Where do you stand on using review advice for gadget features?

Remember that time everyone said to disable a phone's "battery saving" feature for better performance? Mine overheated so badly I could've fried an egg on it. Guess some advice works better in theory.

Yikes, @piperf40, that's a brutal result. I always figured those settings are there because the engineers know how the hardware handles heat in the real world. Turns out theory and practice can really clash.

Tried following a YouTube tutorial to "unlock my camera's true potential." Adjusted the ISO, shutter speed, everything. My photos of the park looked like blurry alien landscapes. Definitely should have left well enough alone.
