Rant: Our block's yearly gadget swap meet died once everyone started reading blogs.
Now we just trade web links instead of actual gadgets.

Our block's swap actually ended when the old timers moved, not just from blogs.

Yeah that's a fair point from @pats23 about the old timers leaving. But the blogs dying off was still a huge part of it, since that's how we all organized the thing. Both things kinda killed it together, lol.
