Waking up to a sunrise simulation lamp changed my whole routine.
I used to hate my alarm clock blaring in the dark. This lamp slowly brightens over 30 minutes, and now I feel AWAKE without the jolt. What simple gadget has made your mornings less painful?

Oh man, your post almost sold me on one of those lamps (seriously). I went the weird cheap route instead and got a smart plug for my regular lamp, set to turn on at the same time as my ugly alarm. It sort of works, but it's just a mean instant light, not a nice slow wake up. I see you, @taylor95, with your fancy timed coffee smell, and I'm a little jealous because my setup just makes my room look stark. I still mostly wake up because my dog puts his cold nose on my face.

Honestly that "AWAKE without the jolt" part sounds amazing. I've been thinking about getting one of those lamps for a while now. Does it actually help you get up when it's still dark out in the winter, or is it more about just feeling better once you're up? Tbh my main problem is just not wanting to leave the warm bed.

My timed coffee maker is what finally fixed my mornings. I set it to brew right before my alarm, so the smell pulls me out of bed. Sunrise lamps just made me want to stay in the cozy light.
